22nd March – TOM MOSS –

My 1962 Corvette has been stolen from the Romford area around the 21st February 2017.

The car had been standing for a while and would not have started as I also removed the rotor arm and battery so it must have been trailered away. The locks on the garage had been cut with an angle grinder as had the padlock on the main gate. It was in a residential area and unfortunately there were no cameras to record what took place.

This is a very rare car with original fuel injection, a power hood and power windows.

Roman red exterior with a black interior and a white soft top.

Registration Number VSU 724

VIN. 20867S104480

Engine Number. 2104480 FI215RF

Block Casting Number 3782870.

I had owned this car for 22 years and would love to get it back but my fear is that it is on its way to some far flung place.

Please fell free to share.

1933 – 2017

It is with great sadness to report the passing of Noland Adams lifetime Corvette aficionado and author.  We had the pleasure of Noland attending as our special guest Flight 2000. He will be sadly missed by the Corvette community. He leaves behind a legacy that can never be filled. He will be sadly missed.

Sad news indeed, a great guy. So pleased I got to meet him back in 2000.

Chris Sale

What sad news. I asked after him on the Solid Axle club stand at the Florida meet last week and was told that he was not in good health.
A sad loss to the C1 community.
Rest in peace Noland.
Tom Moss

It is sad to here of the passing of Nolan, as with anyone and unfortunately we never got to meet. The corvette community will miss his vast input. One does have to realise as well, that this is the new reality for the Ncrs. The age profile is like us all – Older. We will all pass before our cars.   Neal & Rachel

So sad to hear of the passing of the legend who was Noland Adams. Such a great loss to the Corvette community. He will be sadly missed by all enthusiasts of the hobby. Condolences to his family at this difficult time. At the NCRS UK Chapter Flight event in 2000, I had the honour of meeting Noland, who sat behind the wheel of my 66′ Corvette with Trevor Rogers, our Chairman, taking pictures – Happy memories!!  May you rest in peace Noland and a big ‘thank you’ for the contribution you have made to the research and restoration of early Corvettes particularly the C1 and C2 models.
RIP Noland Adams.
Richard Harris. Hon Sec.

I was saddened to hear the news that Noland Adams had recently passed away. I had met with Noland at Bloomington Gold and also at Flight judging here in the U.K. He played an integral part in the research of my 1964 Grady Davis Coupe, without him I would have never tracked down the original bill of sale and documentation from Yenko Chevrolet.

He will be greatly missed by all in the Corvette hobby.

Regards Steve Palmer

It is with great sadness to report the passing long term Chapter member and dear friend David.
As you may know David has been suffering from ill health for a number of years.
Over the many years David had a huge amount of Corvettes, from a stunning 1982 Collectors Edition to a ’63 split window. This was followed by a series of C5’s including a new 2003 Anniversary and then a C6 Z06 and finally a C5 Z06 Le Mans Edition. David was a keen chapter member and always wanted to attend and especially to judge Mid Years.
He will be sadly missed.

Very sad news. Rest in peace Dave.
Tom Moss

Sorry to hear this sad news .Dave was always very friendly and unassuming. He’ll be OK in the big ‘garage in the sky’.

Such sad news. David will most certainly be missed by all of his Chapter ‘buddy’s’ May you rest in peace my friend.

To a great friend!!! Cheers, David…
Jack Humphrey

I have been trying to think of what to say at the sad news of David’s passing.
All I can say is that although Rachel and I didn’t know him very well, (only through the chapter) is that he seemed a gentle man, quiet and very likeable. I know Rachel liked him, as he along with all the members she has met have made her very welcome and his presence will be solely missed.
We can only pass on our condolences to you and the chapter who knew him well.
Neal and Rachel

So sorry to hear about David, such a nice man and avid corvette enthusiast . He will be missed. Please express my sincere condolenses to his family regards Nick

It was with great sadness that I heard the news of Dave McMillan passing away, please pass on my sincere condolences to all Chapter members. Dave was a true Corvette enthusiast and Club member.
